Knot Ink digital - A Full Service Advertising Company.
The Key West Citizen needed an advertising/production company to help announce the release of their new Saturday edition in conjunction with their 125th anniversary.
To commemorate these events the Citizen hid three keys that unlocked big prizes. Readers were given clues in the newspaper. Winners received a seven day cruise, an all expense paid trip for two to the Super bowl and 700 scratch-off lottery tickets.
On Saturday, January 6 more than
32,000 readers were greeted with the new 7 Day Citizen. The same great paper with added sections and new design.
Since Knot Ink digital arrived in Key West last year, clients in search of quality advertising no longer had to leave the Florida Keys to find the responsible talent they are seeking.
With a strong background in video production, creative director Michael Caldwell got to show off some of his skill. Before setting up shop in Key West, Knot Ink digital was working in New York shooting commercial photography, building web sites,
television, radio and print ads.
In December 2000 Knot Ink digital photographed over a dozen Key West personalities that participated in the ad campaign. A series of television and radio commercials for the Citizen were shot, edited, produced and directed by the same team of digital media artists at knotink.com.
In addition, an animation sequence was created to tag the back end of the television spots. The television spots are scheduled to air 60 times a day over AT&T's cable network until 2002. Samples from the series are available below.
